Job Requirements/Specifications

The Tax and Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing tax and compliance-related support to the organization, under the supervision of the Tax and Compliance Lead. The role involves performing tax and compliance-related work with a focus on ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist the T&C Head in the tax compliance function, ensuring that the company's tax filings and payments are timely and accurate, and that the company complies with tax laws and regulations.

  2. Helps in the preparation and review of tax returns and filings.

  3. Assist in the implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liability, including process improvements and streamlining of tax related workflows.

  4. Ensures that the company complies with all loan agreements and reporting requirements, including timely submission of reportorial requirements to lenders.

  5. Stay up to date on new tax laws and regulations.

  6. Builds and maintains relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.

  7. Can do any task that will be assigned from time to time.


  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA qualification would be desirable.

  2. 3-6 years of experience in finance, corporate/external tax practice.

  3. Can derive and track loan covenants compliance and reporting.

  4. With good understanding of reporting requirements, especially for the BIR and other tax-related government bodies and agencies.

  5. Highly analytical, good problem-solving and project management skills.

  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  7. MS Office proficiency and ERP experience required.
