Frontier Takes Over Operational Management of all Purchased Globe Sites

On 19 October 2023 Frontier Tower Associates Philippines (“Frontier Towers” or “Frontier”) completed the takeover of operational management on all of the 2,085 sites it purchased from Globe bringing the total number of sites under ownership and management to almost 3,000 sites.
This significant milestone makes Frontier the first tower company to successfully complete the takeover of operational management of all sites purchased to date. This accomplishment solidifies the commitment of Frontier to excellence, innovation, and the commitment to drive positive change within the telecommunications infrastructure landscape and our position as the leading tower company in the Philippines.
Reaching this point involved careful planning, collaboration, and adherence to industry best practices. During the initial transition period, handover of sites was taken in batches as Frontier worked to improve the penetration of Remote Monitoring Systems (RMS), improving the visibility and control of the sites and thereby enabling better site management.
In addition to the successful takeover, Frontier has spearheaded a transformative digitization initiative, leveraging a mobile app to streamline Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) across our sites, in collaboration with our Tower Operations Center (TOC). This innovative approach enhances operational efficiencies and establishes a seamless approval process at all levels through mobile devices. Our dedicated mobile app facilitates swift and secure approvals, fostering a more agile and responsive operational environment.
In conjunction with our commitment to cutting-edge technology, Frontier have implemented Elock access systems for site entry. This coupled solution ensures not only enhanced security but also a holistic approach to site management, aligning with our vision for a digitally-driven and secure telecommunications infrastructure landscape.
In our commitment to robust business continuity and disaster recovery, Frontier has proactively undertaken strategic measures to ensure the resilience of our infrastructure. Frontier has successfully deployed a significant number of COWs (Cell on Wheels) and DGs (Diesel Generators), strategically mounted on trailers across all regions. This fleet of mobile assets provides us with the flexibility to respond swiftly to any unforeseen circumstances, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery to our customers.
Our partnership with leading power equipment vendors plays a pivotal role in fortifying our disaster recovery capabilities. By housing essential equipment and spare parts, we've established a network-wide readiness to address any contingencies promptly. This proactive approach reflects our dedication to maintaining operational excellence even in challenging circumstances.
As part of our commitment to standardization, Frontier is on a path to establishing unified practices across our infrastructure. This standardization initiative not only enhances operational efficiency but also ensures a cohesive and well-coordinated response in times of crisis. Frontier's focus on business continuity and disaster recovery underscores our dedication to providing reliable and resilient telecommunication services.
Frontier Towers stand proud as the first tower company to complete the takeover of all purchased sites from Globe. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and collaborative spirit of our team. Frontier Towers extend our gratitude to Globe for their cooperation during the transition period and we look forward to continued success and growth in the dynamic Philippines market.
